Terms and Conditions of Use for Sonic Canvas Studios

Welcome to Sonic Canvas Studios, located in the vibrant heart of Nashville, Tennessee! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our recording studio facilities, equipment, and services. By booking a session, utilizing our resources, or otherwise engaging with Sonic Canvas Studios, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. General Provisions

Sonic Canvas Studios ("we," "us," or "our") operates a professional recording studio at 12 Music Circle South, Nashville, TN 37203. Our phone number is (615) 555-7624, and you can reach us by email at [email protected].

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client," "you," or "your") and Sonic Canvas Studios. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website (soniccanvasstudios.com). It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.

2. Booking and Scheduling

All studio time and services must be booked in advance. Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or by email. A deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable except as explicitly stated in our cancellation policy (Section 4).

We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred scheduling, but studio availability is subject to change. Sonic Canvas Studios reserves the right to reschedule or cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, such as equipment malfunction, facility issues, or staff emergencies. In such cases, we will offer you alternative dates or a full refund of your deposit.

3. Payment and Fees

Our standard hourly rate for studio time is $150. Mixing and mastering services are priced on a per-song basis, with rates starting at $500 and $200, respectively. Music production services are quoted on a project basis, depending on the scope and complexity of the work involved. A detailed price list is available upon request.

The remaining balance for your session is due upon completion of the services. We accept payments by cash, check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), and electronic transfer (PayPal, Venmo). A late payment fee of 1.5% per month will be applied to any outstanding balances exceeding 30 days.

4. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled session will result in a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made within 72 hours but more than 24 hours before the scheduled session will result in forfeiture of 25% of your deposit, with the remaining 75% refunded. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

Rescheduling is subject to studio availability. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee that your preferred date and time will be available. If we are unable to reschedule your session, the cancellation policy will apply.

5. Studio Use and Conduct

Clients are expected to treat the studio facilities, equipment, and staff with respect. Any damage to the studio or equipment caused by your negligence or misuse will be your responsibility, and you will be liable for the cost of repair or replacement.

Smoking, illegal drugs, and excessive alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited within the studio premises. Failure to comply with this policy may result in immediate termination of your session and forfeiture of your deposit. You are responsible for the conduct of your guests while they are on the premises.

Sonic Canvas Studios is not responsible for any personal belongings left on the premises. Please ensure that you remove all of your equipment and belongings at the end of your session.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your original music and recordings. Sonic Canvas Studios does not claim any ownership of your intellectual property. However, you grant us the right to use excerpts of your recordings for promotional purposes, such as on our website, social media channels, and demo reels. We will always seek your consent before using your music in any commercial context.

Any original music or arrangements created by Sonic Canvas Studios as part of a music production service will be jointly owned by you and us, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We are happy to discuss and negotiate specific ownership arrangements on a project-by-project basis.

7. Liability and Disclaimer

Sonic Canvas Studios is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by you or your guests while on our premises, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. You are responsible for your own safety and well-being.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality of our services or the suitability of our equipment for your specific needs. We will do our best to provide you with a professional and enjoyable recording experience, but we cannot guarantee any specific results.

8. Data Security and Privacy

Sonic Canvas Studios takes data security and privacy seriously. We use industry-standard measures to protect your personal information and recordings from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We will never share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. We may use your contact information to send you promotional emails or newsletters, but you can opt out of these communications at any time.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in Nashville, Tennessee, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
